Girls' fastpitch
softball in
North Central Massachusetts
Girls that live in Fitchburg and surrounding
communities are welcome to participate in Fitchburg Lassie League.
Players are not required to reside in Fitchburg.
What Fitchburg Lassie League Offers
- Soft-tee
for girls up to age 9. This is our coach-pitch instructional league. We've
got fun drills for throwing, fielding, and hitting.
- Minor League for girls up to age 12 in the 12U division. Recreational
fastpitch softball at this level is all about
learning to playing the game while having fun.
- Major League for girls up to age 14 in the 14U division.
Recreational fastpitch softball at this level
focuses on playing at a higher level by sharpening skills.
Pitching Instruction
The Pitching Clinic begins Saturday November 5th
at Memorial Middle School Gym!
Local fastpitch
instructor, Butch Salmi, will be providing lessons
for two age groups of pitchers; 12:30 to 2:00 for high school pitchers, and
2:00 to 3:30 for Lassie League ages. There will be two 10 week sessions at a
cost of $100 each, from November 5th through March 10th.
Butch has been instructing some of
the most successful pitchers in central Massachusetts for many years. This is a
great opportunity for players that are interested in mastering fastpitch “windmill” pitching.

Coolidge Park? Fitchburg State University is renovating Withington
Field. The Lady Falcons are playing their home games in the new facility
beginning this spring, and Fitchburg Lassie League will benefit from having new
fences, dugouts, turf, and infield for our league.
